The mission and purpose of the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge is to provide a home-like residence, without charge, to cancer patients. Hope Lodge participates in the cancer treatment process by providing an emotionally supportive environment while reducing the financial burden of necessary multiple-night stays.
The American Cancer Society Hope Lodge® makes the stay away from home just a little easier for those being treated for cancer. The Hope Lodge creates an environment that eases both the stress of the cancer journey and the financial challenge of receiving lifesaving treatment.
Last year more than 17,000 patients and their caregivers stayed at Hope Lodges, saving them nearly $18 million in hotel expenses. Our nationwide network of Hope Lodges now extends to 18 states and Puerto Rico, and continues to grow.
With 28 rooms available, guests at the Russell and Ann Gerdin American Cancer Society Hope Lodge will save nearly $850,000 in hotel expenses in the next year. You can help support this mission by becoming a Hope Lodge Partner.
